Tucked away in the south western tip of the UK, Cornwall is must visit for all dog owners. Boasting over 300 miles of coastline, there are plenty of beaches you can visit with your dog all year round. Cornwall is an incredibly dog friendly county, the majority of pubs and independent restaurants allow canine guests and there are plenty of dog friendly days out to enjoy too!
Home to 3 of the UK’s National Parks, Wales is a breathtaking county and the perfect place to enjoy a dog friendly adventure or two. Whether you’re looking to climb a mount Snowdon, visit one of the stunning waterfalls or enjoy one of the many dog friendly historic sites, there’s something for everyone in this beautiful country.
Another must visit destination is Scotland. Famed for its 282 Munros and over 30,000 freshwater lochs. Scotland is a canine paradise and a great place to visit year round. You can even visit the Nevis Range Mountain Resort with your dog, if you fancy a day on the slopes!
Norfolk has the perfect blend of beaches, coastal towns, rivers and marshland. It’s a charming place to explore on the east coast of England. Many of the region’s nature reserves are dog friendly and the nearby seaside towns are a hive of activity.
Devon is another dog friendly UK destination you must visit. Home to both Dartmoor and Exmoor, there are plenty of hiking trails to explore with your dog in the county. Did you know Dartmouth in Devon is the first place that Jack Russells were bred? The vast coastline across the county is perfect for surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking with your dog too!
Explore the Jurassic Coastline in Dorset, including the iconic limestone arch at Durdle Door. The Blue Pool in Wareham is another must visit, a natural pool famous for its colour changing waters. The Dorset Downs and Dorset Heaths border the New Forest, the perfect place for long dog walks in the woods.
North Yorkshire is the largest county in England. Its famous for its rugged countryside landscapes and hiking trails, including the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales and part of the Pennine Way.
