It lies adjacent to the owner’s home and is well placed for rural walking direct from the door up and around Sharphaw, or alternatively you can walk into the bustling market town of Skipton where the Norman castle stands proudly at the top of a broad, sweeping cobbled High Street. There is a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants to explore, as well as trips on the canal, an indoor swimming pool, pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course. York is just over an hour’s drive, as is the Lake District. The spa town of Harrogate is a ½-hour drive, and will satisfy the most ardent of shoppers; whilst there take time to have afternoon tea at Betty’s tea room. Alternatively, simply relax in your own hot tub and enjoy your surroundings. Shop and restaurant ½ mile, pub 1 mile.

Despite the poor weather we still managed several local walks, with use of the hot tub after to relax and recuperate. Cottage is of a high standard and great to relax in after a days walking. “A beautiful cottage set in a brilliant location. Spacious and well equipped and the added bonus of a Hot Tub was excellent. Cottage was ready when we arrived and Geri (the owner) had left a lovely cake as a welcome for us and was available to show us round. She was always friendly and available for local advice and was happy for us to have fresh eggs from her chickens at the top of the garden. The cottage was only a short walk to the local Farm Food market and into Skipton itself. It also had the benefit of only being a very short drive into the Yorkshire Dales themselves and there were numerous truly stunning locations and walks etc within 30 minutes driving. Would definitely use again and recommend.”

  • We have to cancel your booking;
  • You cancel your booking because you are prohibited to travel by UK public health measures, such as if we are in lockdown, or you would be in breach of household mixing rules;
  • You, or someone in your party, has COVID**;
  • You or someone in your party has been told to self-isolate by Track and Trace**;
  • You are shielding or vulnerable and can no longer make use of your booking**.

In these circumstances, you will be able to choose between:
Full refund
We will refund you the full amount you have paid for your booking.
A transfer to a later date or a different location or accommodation
Subject to availability, we will help you move your booking to a later date or even a new location or accommodation with no admin fees, but please be aware that if the cost of your new arrangements is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference. Of course, if the cost is less, we will refund the difference.
An e-voucher to rebook your holiday online
You can request an e-voucher for the amount you have previously paid for your booking. You can then use it to book a new holiday online or towards another existing booking, without having to call us. Vouchers issued are valid until 3 September 2021 and can be used on holidays departing before 31st December 2022.
