Elizabeth Cottage is a gorgeous terraced cottage situated in the picture-postcard village of Hinderwell, on the Yorkshire Coast. This dog-friendly cottage makes an idyllic retreat for two people in which to relax and unwind and take in all that the area has to offer. The cosy accommodation has been attractively furnished to offer guests a comfortable stay. The quirky living room has exposed brickwork and an open fire set within the original cast iron fireplace, a great space to curl up after a day exploring the coastline. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player for your entertainment. On the first floor the double bedroom has stripped wooden floors and a large window with seat. The comfortable bed, Hypnos mattress and crisp bedding ensures a good night’s sleep. The stylish bathroom with shower over bath completes this floor. Externally there is an enclosed, south-facing courtyard with a terraced patio and garden furniture. A great place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine as you watch the sun go down.

The cottage is close to two village inns and there is a direct bus route to Whitby, ideal for avoiding parking at busy times. The beautiful beaches of Runswick Bay, Staithes and Sandsend are within easy reach. There are many amenities on hand including a butchers/grocery store, church, village hall and fish and chip shop. Hinderwell is an ideal base for walking holidays too with many coastal walking routes and the Cleveland Way close by. This is the perfect location for exploring further inland as well, with the whole of the North York Moors just waiting to be explored. This charming cottage is the perfect base for exploring both coast and countryside. Beach 1 mile. Shop 350 yards, pub and café/restaurant 200 yards.

( Brown Cow was closed for a refurb ) only leaving 1 pub which you had to book 2 days before . Very nice though . Lovely and clean and dog friendly . Hope to stay again next year . Highly recommend”

“You will be able to choose any one of the following three options if we or the accommodation provider cancel your booking, or if you cancel your booking because UK government public health measures mean that it is unlawful to travel to or make use of the accommodation you booked:
Full refund – we will refund you the full amount you have paid for your booking.
Transfer to a later date or different accommodation – subject to availability, we will help you move your booking to a later date or even a new location or accommodation with no admin fees, but please be aware that if the cost of your new accommodation is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference.
Choose an e-voucher to rebook your holiday online – you can request an e-voucher for the amount you have previously paid for your booking. You can then use it to book a new holiday online or towards another existing booking, without having to call us. Vouchers issued in 2020 are valid until 31st December 2020 and can be used on holidays departing before 31st December 2021.
Plus, to give our customers the added flexibility they need at this time, for any bookings with arrival dates on or before 31 December 2020, the following applies:
Pay for your 2020 break just 3 weeks before you go – to give you more time to pay for your holiday during these uncertain times, we’ve moved the balance due date for bookings with arrival dates up to 31st December 2020 to just 21 days before your holiday is due to start. If you choose to cancel your holiday before your balance due date, then we will waive your liability for the remainder of the balance and no further amount will be collected from you. If you choose to cancel on or after your balance due date, then you will need to pay the cancellation charges (according to the number of days before the start of your holiday) as set out in the cancellation charges table which you can find in your booking conditions, as well as any applicable booking fees, admin charges or insurance premiums that you owe. *If you have booked a property that is stated to sleep 10 people or more and your booking begins between 1 September and 31 December 2020, your balance due date will remain at 12 weeks prior to the holiday start date as set out in the booking conditions.”
