Old Sawmill Cottage is a converted sawmill based near the town of Castle Douglas in Scotland. It has a super king size zip/ink bedroom as well as a shower room, it can sleep two people. Also inside there is a kitchen and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. To the outside there is off road parking for one car and a rear patio with furniture. Old Sawmill Cottage is a great property in a wonderful location.

Accommodation: All ground floor. One super king size bedroom (zip/link, can be twin on request). Shower room with basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with a woodburning stove.

Off road parking for 1 car. Rear patio with furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Shop and pub 3.5 miles. Note: There is open access to river bank from garden, children to be supervised. Note: There are steps to access the property and steps within the property, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

About the area: The town of Castle Douglas is in the southwest of Scotland, in Dumfries and Galloway. It is known as the ‘Food Town’ with independent food shops, as well as a range of pubs and restaurants. The town provides access to the Solway Coast, with its beaches and fishing villages. Carlingwark Loch lies south of the town, a lake great for fishing and sailing. The loch hosts a selection of small islands. Hop aboard a boat and venture to Threave Castle, perched on an island in the River Dee, and explore the gardens on the estate, open all year round. Dumfries and Galloway is an area renowned for outdoor activities including bird watching, mountain biking, fishing, star-gazing and golfing.
