Slightly further is the wonderful, award-winning sandy beach at West Wittering, and Chichester is about a 15-minute drive away. Chichester has delightful cobbled pedestrianised streets with an abundance of shopping, restaurants, leisure facilities and the ornate Cathedral, festival theatre. Harbour tours and golf can be found in the area, as well as beautiful scenic walks around the coastline and South Downs National Park. Nearby are Goodwood races, Fontwell races, Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and Arundel with its historic castle, cathedral and wildfowl and wetland nature reserve.
