A beautiful stone cottage, full of character and charm, nestled in the Yorkshire Dales, 3 miles from the Yorkshire National Park. Hideaway Cottage has walks for you and your four legged friends from outside the door and a wood burning stove to return to, making it the perfect base for a country retreat for you and your pets.
Built in the late 1700s as part of the Swinton Park Estate, the cottage, located in the pretty village of Fearby with its large Green and local pub, is cosy and welcoming. The market town of Masham, home to both the Black Sheep and Theaskston’s Brewery, is 1.4 miles away with its great pubs, fine dining restaurants, galleries, independent shops and twice weekly market, ensures there is plenty to explore locally. Being so close to the National Park, walks that take a couple of hours to all day, are on your doorstep, as are the country towns of Leyburn, Bedale and Middleham. The interior of the cottage marries traditional stone and beams with handpicked artisan pieces sourced from local makers and artists, creating a beautiful environment for you to relax and forget the pressures of everyday life. Sleeping two adults and up to two dogs and having a garden with a large summer house in which to enjoy a late summer evening or observe the beautiful clear night skies, Hideaway Cottage is a very special place to come and spend time with each other and your dogs.
