Guest Comments

“Very friendly owners. Made sure we were settled in and asked if we had everything we needed.Nothing too much trouble.”

Clive, October 2019

“Lovely cottage, great hosts. Would definitely stay again.”

Caroline, October 2019

“Absolutely stunning, had everything you could possibly need, very warm and friendly surroundings. Pictures do not do the cottage justice of just how beautiful it is. Thank you for a wonderful, calm and relaxed break.”

Lisa, September 2019

“We found this lovely cottage well equipped, easy to find and built to a high standard. It was peaceful and quiet with four sheep outside our window keeping the grass short. Rich, the owner, introduced himself and his two daughters before going back to his farmhouse across the way. We weren’t interrupted and were able to go about enjoying our holiday. Symonds Yat is a must, the view were spectacular. So many castles and Tintern Abbey to see, we’ll have to return.”

Simon, September 2019

“This cottage is lovely. Spacious and well equipped. However the beds were so soft that we ended up with back ache. Could do with at least a medium to film mattress to suit all.”

Dawn, August 2019

“We have enjoyed a lovely stay at The Lodge. It’s close to a woodland walk and pub (though no food is served there unfortunately), down the road is a good sized Tesco and Co Op, plus local butchers etc so generally a good spot to visit the locality. The accommodation has a lovely spec, wifi excellent as were the showers and the beds for a good nights sleep..so no problems at all.We had our little Shi Tzu with us so it was important to have an enclosed garden area. The front patio with built in BBQ and seating was great as was the side and back garden. Being part of a farm, the grass area is fenced in by wire fencing to keep with the local countryside but doesn’t afford any privacy, though is good for a short run around with the dog. We spent our time sitting and relaxing on the front patio, which was very pretty. The landlords and their family are lovely people and very happy to help. Altogether a lovely trip.”

Victoria, August 2019

“Really nice cottage in a good central location to go to local places.”

Martin, July 2019

“The Lodge is a very comfortable, well equipped cottage and easily met our needs for the week.Would happily stay there again if I returned to the area.”

Tracey, June 2019

“Excellent accommodation and very friendly and helpful owners.”

Linda, March 2019

“Lovely property and ideal for two couples. Beautiful lounge and large kitchen. The only things we all felt the same about were one hand towel per couple was odd, and they were really rough. No toiletries in the property. No welcome items like cake or biscuits. These are not criticisms as such just what we have experienced at other cottages. Would recommend and would come back again ?”

Diane, February 2019

“Had a lovely christmas with ours friends Lodge was nicely decorated beds comfortable and very warm.”
