“Lovely cottage for a couple. Perfect location and managed to park outside or close by most days we were there. Wouldnt hesitate to rebook and recommend to others.”

“Great little cottage in the heart of Ambleside. Perfectly situated for the town and hiking. The only downside is the absence of a designated parking spot. There is space on the street but it can be taken by other residents visitors. Other than that, an ideal place to stay.”

“My Husband and I have visited this particular cottage many times and we Love the position of it and you have to grab a parking space quickly, but it is all worth it!”

“We had a lovely week in The Hollies cottage. It is exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the views from the bedroom window and the sunsets from the little seat outside. (It would depend on the time of year you visited). Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were provided. The towels and bedding were good quality. The bed was huge, although the mattress was not the style I prefer, it was of good quality. We parked on Old Lake Road as the road is very narrow by the cottage. We unloaded our belongings outside the cottage on arrival and departure. There was only one fire lighter and a small log. We had great weather, too hot for a fire. Very handy for all amenities in Ambleside and local transport links. Fabulous walks from the door, no need to use your car until you have to leave.”

“Lovely stay at The Hollies cottage! Cosy, modern cottage in an ideal location in Ambleside. Comfy bed and furniture, with option of log fire. Good shower and facilities. Would be good to have some hand soap (given covid times!) but overall excellent stay!”

“Absolutely loved this cottage from the moment we walked in!it was spotless which is very important to me particularly. It's location was only 5 mins walk from Ambleside very good! Our 2 French Bulldogs loved it too and were very settled. only downside is its open out the back onto the road which we had to stand out with the dogs on a night while they did their business but it was fine to do this as everything else made up for it!we already have rebooked for April and can't wait!”

“An excellent value for money cosy cottage with central heating an open fire place, lashings of hot water with a good sized bathroom and an amazingly comfortable large double bed, a really good retreat for 2 people just walking distance form the town of Ambleside. All comforts have been considered and the cottage is up to date. This was our second visit and we will have no hesitation in booking again.”
