“Lovely little cottage. Walks from the doorstep. Own garden to sit and relax in. Wifi, netflix. Couldn't fault it. A credit to the owner's who are a really nice family. Probably the best Cottage stay we have had and we have stayed in quite a few. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday. We will book it again.”

“A perfect cottage in an ideal location for a very relaxing holiday. This cottage is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all. There are free range eggs available from the farm, these are wonderful and the chickenscows and sheep are all your neighbours. Cath lives in the farm next door and is very friendly along with the rest of the family, they are all there should you need anything. This cottage is perfect the dog owner with it's secure garden and fenced paddock, your pooch is sure to have a great time, Kuro and Jura the labradors have come home for a rest!”

“We had a lovely relaxing Holiday when we weren't out and about it was just nice to sit and watch the wildlife in the garden. The squirrel scampering on the lawn or the woodpecker hanging off the bird feeder. We had the use of a barbecue and if it was chilly at night we could always fire up the log burner”

“A stunning cottage in a stunning, peaceful location. Perfect for local walks and trips further afield to the Dales or the Lakes. Decent local shops, and excellent Morrisons superstore in Kendal if needed. Lovely host family in the adjacent farm. A total chill sitting and watching red squirrels, woodpeckers, gold and chaffinches and a host of other birds on the nut feeder in the garden. Highly recommended!”

“This cottage does what it says on the tin. Its cosy, self contained, in a great location for accessing the Lakes or Yorkshire Dales and has that country feel without being too isolated. The owners are on hand if you need anything but are not intrusive. Enclosed back garden for the dogs is ideal and the owners mentioned that we could use the empty field across from the Byre to exercise them first thing in the morning.”

“With everything happening and rules to follow due to corona19. This place just fell right. Peace and relaxation with plenty of sights to see. Beautiful walks on the doorstep.Made welcome from start of hols and with our 4 dogs was given a beautiful fenced off field for them to play in. Just be careful with concrete slab on fireplace when coming out of bedroom, caught toes a few times.Lanes narrow and not easy to pass if vehicles coming other way. Overall great time great weather all week.”

“Words honestly cant explain the high quality of this cottage. Every little detail had been thought of especially with COVID. What a warm welcome and you must try their eggs, absolutely amazing! I can not fault this Gorgeous holiday Retreat in anyway. Absolutely perfect in every way. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and being absconders at home, they were kept well controlled here! We loved all the local walks and the Dales were stunning. I would recommended this place and will most definitely be back again! Thank you for such a wonderful stay”
