“Please accept our apologies for not confirming that we were coming to stay on the 16th July, but we would like to thank you for a superb week in your beautiful little home. It certainly was, as is named, a very cosy stay with everything needed to ensure a comfortable holiday. It is debateable whether or not you can swing a cat in the kitchen, but you must be absolutely commended on the design. It was easy to cook a full meal for two people, actually better than in some bigger accommodations stayed in. Well done! It was a pleasure to meet the friendly and helpful neighbours, including the two adorable pooches 'Flick' and 'Merlin.' Lovely to wake up to the views of Scotland across the Solway Firth and a really good base from which to explore the Lake District and the extensive coastline. Equally lovely to come 'home' and snuggle down for the evenings. If we are up this way again, we would most certainly consider a rebooking. Thank you so much!”

“Great value and secluded. Right on the seafront which has advantages and disadvantages. Locals are very friendly. Downstairs toilet a disadvantage, but this is clearly stated in the description, so you know what you are getting. Very clean and well equipped, but the kitchen has room only for one, so one cooks and one washes up!We had a great fortnight visiting the attractions in the Lake District and Hadrians Wall. We have booked Keswick for next year.Twentymans ice cream and the surf bar just a few doors away.”

“The cottage has its restrictions but these are laid out in the discription. It is an ideal base for the lake district. The cottage is what it is " COSY". The place is well equipt for the size. The downstairs loo was not a problem for us. The shower was OK. If you share a bed surely privacy is not an issue. Some of the comments in the visitors book are ridculous. Remember someone is letting you hire their properrty it is only yours for a short while, respect it.”

“Lovely stay in a very friendly little village. Cottage was superb and met all our needs. Yes it is very small but we knew that from the photos and it was very homely. Could benefit from WiFi but as only stayed 3 nights did not miss it too much. Otherwise everything spot on!”
