“The host was very welcoming and helpful. There was a substantial welcome pack waiting for us including bread, milk, butter, bacon, eggs, scones with clotted cream. Washing up liquid and soap”

“It was the best welcome pack we have ever had on holiday with the owners "Own" Jam and cream tea making it extra special. The view was to die for and the garden secure for our dog who was even left her own biscuits as past of the pack. The owner himself was a welcoming and genial host and the property was ultra clean and cool since we were lucky enough to have exceptional weather. The walk to the beach is steep but worth it as was the walk to Bedruthan Steps. I hope to be back.”

“Very much enjoyed our stay here and made welcome by the owner with a great selection of welcome goodies including his homemade jam. Very clean and well appointed apartment with good view of the coast which is a 5 min stroll down the hill, easy access to the beach and coastal path plus easy route into the town itself. Great and safe parking on site. Garden for the dog to play in but suggest supervised if your dog can be an escape artist. Plenty to do in the area, even though we visited out of the main holiday periods.Apartment itself is perfect for a couple. Only improvements Id suggest would be a footstool in the lounge and perhaps a firmer mattress but thats personal preference. Would recommend and highly likely to visit again.”

“Wonderful home from home! Roger is great host & supplied us with a lovely welcoming basics & treats basket! The accommodation is spot on for 2, nice space & atmosphere. Stunning walks directly from the property. Great food & refreshments at Merrymoor Inn a few minutes walk into village. Mawgan Porth is great location, close to stunning scenery & clifftop walks; Newquay & Padstow close by too.”

“The Jam Store cottage was perfect in every way, Roger the owner was also the perfect host...left welcoming goodies on our arrival which was very thoughtful. His jams and marmalades are divine so be prepared to come away with a jar or 2 or 3 or even more!!! The whole stay was a fantastic experience and hopefully it won't be too long before we return ”

“The Jam Store is in a fantastic location for the beach (although expect a big cliff, it is Cornwall!) Our only petty bugbear is that the shower head wasn't long enough to reach down to clean our dogs belly. Meant we struggled to clean him and felt guilty that we were getting sand around the cottage! We would happily stay here again.”
