Guest Comments

“A beautiful cottage perfectly located. A great getaway and hideaway from the madness of daily life. The ideal place to recharge. The owners take great care to make you feel welcome.”

Sarah, November 2019

“great base for exploring the lochs and forests. very quiet.”

Andrew, November 2019

“We LOVED our stay. Comfortable cottage, excellent local walks. Plenty of tourist spots within a short drive.”

Hannah, October 2019

“We loved staying at Bonnie’s Bothy, the surroundings were beautiful and the cottage itself was lovely. It is tastefully decorated, the log burner was set up ready, a well thought out welcome basket was much appreciated and there was really little to fault. It is bit of a drive to town so might be good to get some supplies in first, even if it’s just your meal for the first evening, can give you the chance to rest up if you’ve already driven a long way. The owners, Jean and David, have made the cottage into a little ‘home from home’ and we, and our dog Ziggy, certainly felt very comfortable there.”

Jane, September 2019

“Spectacular location for lovely peaceful homely property. Loch Venachar small by Loch Lomond standards is a beautiful spot. The cottage is set down a long private road so very isolated location. So that might not be for everyone. But for peace and quiet and beauty it was amazing. Bird feeders around property mean spent many an hour just watching from window. It was an excellent base to explore lochs and Argyll coast”

Keith, September 2019

“Lovely homely cosy cottage with much wildlife to see.”

Ann, July 2019

“We enjoyed every minute of out stay at Bonnie’s Bothy. It’s in a beautiful, peaceful, private location and was so clean and cosy. We had red squirrel visitors every day which we adored and hundreds of birds!Good base to explore the national park; we did Ben A’an, Ben Lomond, two days in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and did cruises on Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine. All within easy reach of the cottage. Also did a lovely walk just from the front door round the neighbouring loch.We never met our hosts but they were very attentive via email and phone. We were very sad to leave and can’t wait to go back one day! A real hidden gem.”

Vicky, May 2019

“Absolutely fabulous location for all lovers of nature and total peace and quiet. Excellent communication with the owner and the cottage is spotlessly clean. Such a special place and perfect in every respect.”

Vanessa, May 2019
