“10 out of 10 lovely place and location.”
— mr J, 21 August 2021
“Came and stayed in the smaller Cooks Hopper hut for 8 days and cannot recommend highly enough. Incredible value and dog friendly. The studio apartment convert has WiFi and smart TV, wellappointed kitchen, spacious wet room, and a panoramic, unspoilt view right outside your door. The local owners were friendly and helped quickly and kindly when we lost our outdoor parasol to the wind, coming back with a replacement quickly and with no recriminations. The place is clean, the air is clear, the waters soft, the walks are myriad, farm shops abound, and the beaches are only 25 minutes away. The weather mid June was Mediterranean. The local area is picturesque and unique, and steeped in English history. Beautiful examples of old churches and country estates (check out the one near Linton if you get time). As a couple currently in a low income situation, managing to take a holiday in such a nice location with such a lovely property, not to mention being able to bring our beloved dog for a minuscule £30 (the cost for kennels for 7 nights was £300, and this way we know hes being looked after as well as he deserves) was an absolute revelation. We only wish we couldve stayed longer, but were certainly hoping to be able to come back here again, and wed urge anyone else wanting to take a break no more than an hour and a half from west London in such beautiful surroundings. Absolutely amazing! Thanks so much to Nigel and Karen. Both of us feel revived and refreshed after the stress of Lockdown. Would rate six stars if I could.”
