This property is over 100 years old and retains many of its original features including doors, wood panelling and stone flooring, whilst enjoying the comforts of a modern bathroom and kitchen. It benefits from its own natural water sourced from the rock. Sitting in an elevated position overlooking Pennan Bay, which was used as a film location for Local Hero, starring Burt Lancaster, it boasts lovely sea views over the hugely popular bay.

Enjoy sitting in the enclosed garden whist enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. With two double bedrooms and an open living space, it is perfect for a small family or couple. The lovely beach at Aberdour is a short drive away and Killykan Bay and Pennen are within easy reach; here you can have a picnic then spend some time exploring St Drostan’s Well. Enjoy days discovering the small coastal villages of Crovie and Gardenstown, with their dramatic and ever changing landscapes. Family fun can be had in Macduff and Banff, approximately 11 miles away, where Duff House, The Spotty Bag shop and Macduff Aquarium can all be found. Auchmedden Cottage is also brilliantly placed for golf, with many courses being found nearby. In the opposite direction, Fraserburgh has plenty of cafés and parks to keep you busy. It is also home to the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, which is certainly worth a visit. If you are a keen bird watcher, then the RSPB Troup Head is 4 miles from the cottage. Auchmedden Cottage really is set in a wonderful location where you can explore all this area of Scotland has to offer. Fishing nearby. Beach 1¼ miles. Shop and restaurant 1¾ miles, pub 1 mile.
