For keen fishermen in the party take a trip to Lough Carra which is only 1km away and is popular for trout and pike fishing. There is even a walking track around a football pitch and a gym just a mile away for those wanting to keep fit. Venture further afield to Westport, a lively and charming town on the Atlantic coast of County Mayo. Lough Carra, just outside the hamlet, is a lovely spot for a stroll and a picnic, and Moore Hall has a lush woodland to explore.
