Resting in the tranquil surroundings of the Brecon Beacons National Park, at the foot of the Black Mountains with its incredible dark skies, is this fantastic shepherd’s hut, Sweet Briar. Boasting pet-friendly accommodation, an enclosed garden with barbecue and outdoor furniture, as well as an intimate living space and fitted double bed, Sweet Friar welcomes two guests and two friendly pooches for a brilliant escape to South Wales. As you unload in the off-road parking space and step into your new abode, discover a delightful sofa where you can kick back and unwind with a crackling woodburning stove to warm you. After preparing a tasty treat in the shared kitchen, relish an intimate dining experience at the seating for two, or venture outside to enjoy alfresco mealtimes with the stunning landscapes as your backdrop; there is also a barbecue for your convenience so you can make the most of the warmer months. When you begin to feel tired, retreat to a fabulous double bed to rest your head in, or if you don’t want your evening to end just yet, freshen up in the shared bathroom facility before heading to the local pub to enjoy a cold beverage. However, you choose to spend your days in South Wales, do it from the homely base of Sweet Briar Shepherds Hut. Fuel, power, and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent (additional wood for woodburning stove can be purchased from neighbouring farm). Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking available in farmyard a short walk from the property. Electric Vehicles: This property does not have a charge point for electric vehicles and charging from within the property is prohibited. Enclosed shared garden with lawn, furniture and barbecue, private gravelled area with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed (additional charges apply),dogs not allowed on the bedding. This little hamlet in the Brecon Beacons National Park is a scattered community with a pub and restaurants that provide a different cuisine to taste and enjoy. Llangorse Lake, the biggest natural lake in South Wales, is only a mile from the town. It is one of the most wonderful places to take a stroll, see the birds, go for a boat trip, or go fishing, and it has an old crannog. The historic cathedral town of Brecon, which features dazzling Georgian and Jacobean architecture, countless museums, a theatre and cinema, unique shops, restaurants, and inns serving real ales and regional food, is only six miles from this spot. It is also surrounded by the majestic Beacons, making it the ideal base for walkers and bikers. A quaint community set in gorgeous landscape.
