Reviews

“Perfect for two people and a dog.”
— Mr W, 23 December 2023
“Warm and welcoming, the property was clean and well equipped. The owners were friendly and helpful hosts. The Britannia Inn is 10 mins walk away and is to be thoroughly recommended. The history of the area is very interesting. Local shop and pottery well worth a visit, as is Cwm Ivy cafe.”

“Location of the property was excellent, although the road leading to it was a bit challenging, being single track in parts. The property itself was beautiful and perfect for us two with one dog. It was very clean, spacious and fully equipped. There are plenty of walks out from the village and the local pub, The Britannia is definitely worth a visit.”

“Just marked down the score for the equipment at the property as there was not an ice box in the fridge. It was a warm week and ice in our gin and tonic would have been nice.”
— Mrs J, 24 June 2023
“Comfort category marked down as the bed was uncomfortable. Everything else was brilliant”

“Valentine's Trip Away! Four years after we first visited, we have returned and it's just as perfect as we remembered. My boyfriend had planned this as a surprise getaway. As we were driving towards Swansea on the motorway it clicked where he was taking me and I shouted 'Are we going back to the barn! Please don't get my hopes up!' When we pulled up into the driveway, I burst into tears. I have so many happy memories of this barn and I suddenly became overwhelmed with emotion. It's the perfect little home for a break and the Brit Pub serves good food. I'm already excited for our next trip. See you in another 4 years!”

“We've had a fantastic stay at the Stable. The accommodation is very comfortable with everything provided that you may require. We like the fact that it is quiet here a truly relaxing setting. The local pub, The Britannia Inn is fantastic! The food is amazing, plus lots of gluten free options (which I made the most of ). It is a popular pub so would recommend booking a table. We have done some fantastic walks during our stay the beaches are stunning. We are already planning a return trip to explore more of the South Wales Coastal Path. PS We enjoyed holding the 2 ducks in the yard. ”

“A relaxing holiday with beautiful weather. The Britannia Inn is well worth a visit and is walkable. Comfortable accommodation and so quiet. Stunning beaches on the Gower with equally awesome views from the cliff tops. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality and tips on getting to places. ”

“Thank you for the lovely accommodation in the Stable. It's been so peaceful and relaxing. The info on the area has been really useful in guiding some amazing walks in this sunny landscape. We enjoyed the company of the friendly tabby cat too. Thanks again for a fabulous holiday, best wishes. ”

“Lovely setting, lovely people, beautiful accommodation. This has proved an ideal base for us to strike out into West Wales as well and follow the fine coastal path both ways from the farm. We recommend the Britannia Inn for a good meal, very friendly Community ShopCafe and the eateries in Penclawdd. Search for the preElizabethan stone bridge over the road from the farm. A truly bendigedig place! Diolch yn fawr iawn. ”

“We have very much enjoyed our stay in the Stable! Great walks around the coast and estuary. Rhossili beach is stunning. Also enjoyed a walk around Pwll Du point in Bishopston Valley. Sunday lunch at the King Arthur Pub is to be recommended. The Britannia Inn, village pub is good too. Don't forget to go to the Community Shop in the Village excellent cakes! The Butcher, Tuckers, in Penclawdd is very good too. ”

“Had a great time in the Stable thank you for ordering the weather! The Gower has been glorious we are determined to come back before too long. Many thanks for all the little extras provided. We are definitely going to get some solar lights the ones around the barn are so pretty. ”

“Thank you for your hospitality, we've had a lovely week staying in the Stable, it's so cosy. Lots of good times and happy memories made this week with family also staying nearby. The Gower has some of the most beautiful unspoilt beaches we've ever come across. Great food at the Britannia Inn and the Community Shop is so handy (both up the hill). We hope to come back in the future. ”
