Splendid Heveningham Property

Stylish and romantic, this beautiful barn conversion offers a magical couples’ escape amid the tranquil Suffolk countryside. One of a handful of converted farm buildings near the village of Heveningham, you’ll love returning to this one-bedroom lodge to snuggle on the sofa and gaze at the panoramic views. There’s plenty to tempt you out too, from shared access to an on-site gym, a sauna, a cinema room and gardens, to a wealth of natural, historic and cultural attractions in the surrounding area.

Thoughtfully arranged over two storeys with an upside-down layout to maximise the views, this property blends rustic charm with luxurious amenities. Set beneath a vaulted and beamed ceiling on the first floor, the open-plan living area is bathed in natural light from a succession of skylights along with a large picture window. Preparing food is a delight with top-of-the-range appliances, while the dining table offers the perfect backdrop for romantic meals or spirited game nights. At the end of the room the lounge beckons, with a sofa and armchair positioned for evenings in front of the TV or lost in a book. Downstairs, the king-size bedroom offers a rejuvenating night’s sleep, while the en-suite bathroom features both a walk-in shower and a generous bathtub. A designated seating area in the shared courtyard is the ideal spot to sip a morning cuppa.

The market towns of Halesworth and Framlingham (6 and 8 miles respectively) offer a wealth of history and heritage from Victorian almshouses and timber-framed buildings to an imposing castle. The area is rich in culture with galleries and beach sculptures in Aldeburgh (15 miles) and shops, eateries, galleries and performance spaces at Snape Maltings (12 miles). For a day at the British seaside, head to Southwold (15 miles), while nature enthusiasts will love the flagship reserve at RSPB Minsmere (10.5 miles).
