“This was a fabulous getaway in a beautiful location. Perfect for time away from it all. There is nothing around for miles, but you can soon jump in the car and have a day out at beautiful places. We particularly loved the perfect placing of the windows to watch the sun rise each morning. One to stay on our list of perfect places.”

“If it's peace and quiet you after, this is the place for you! Ideal location for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding area with the coast only about a 40 minute drive away. The cottage is secluded down a short narrow lane over looking fields, so plenty of privacy. Th owners arevery helpful and always available if needed. Thank you for the lovely scones and cream and other welcome items which were very much appreciated.”

“We absolutely love staying at The Platt. The surrounding countryside is so peaceful and pretty. There is absolutely nothing to do in the Village of Rezare but that suits us perfectly. There are however quite a few pubs that serve nice meals within a 15 minute drive and a supermarket at nearby Launceston. The kitchen is very well equipped for anyone who loves to cook. A big thank you to the owners :)”

“The Platt is a wonderful place to stay and we would recommend it highly. It is cosy and comfortable, especially on rainy days with the log burner burning in the corner. Our little Jack Russell, Rosie, was made especially welcome with a lovely greeting on the freezer door. The views over the valley are sensational and the terrace is a great place to sit and enjoy the evenings. Helen and Stuart are excellent hosts and on arrival we found four delicious scone, clotted cream, jam, 6 fresh, local eggs and a bottle of organic apple juice waiting for us on the kitchen counter. We would love to return before too long as it is a special place and ideally placed for exploring both the north and south coasts.”

“I had to switch my holiday to The Platt at the last minute and what a wonderful choice. Clean and so quiet. Not much open in the local area, but as a walker all I needed was the moors and rivers and hills. Helen couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend The Platt.”

“The Platt is an amazing place. Helen and Stuart were so kind, considerate and welcoming. We found a well equipped kitchen with huge range cooker and all the needed utensils, beautiful living area with log burner complete with logs and coal, a comfortable bed and lovely clean toilet and shower room. The decking and garden area had plenty of seats and tables and a view to die for. The location is perfect for peace and tranquility. Shops about 10 mins drive away and you could drive to the northern and southern coasts in about 3040 mins each. A brilliant location for exploring Cornwall, I would definitely recommend it. I'll certainly be booking again.”

“We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything we needed and the views are fantastic. Helen met us on arrival, was very friendly and explained everything we needed to know. At the end of the week we didn't want to leave.”

“We had a lovely stay very high standard of accommodation, beautiful views, Owners very helpful and approachable. Sofa was slightly uncomfortable and when using DVD there was a constant buzz from tv which was a little distracting. These are only minor points overall a very lovely peaceful hideaway.”
