Use of freezer on request (shared).. Terrace with garden furniture and BBQ. 24-acre landscaped wooded grounds (shared with owner and other property on-site). 1 small/medium-sized dog welcome. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties. The property has a natural water supply from a borehole. There are steps, sloping banks and drops in the grounds, and an unfenced loch 150 yards away.. Invertrossachs Country House, approached by a single track tarmac road, is set in a most fantastic location in the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by hills, lochs and glens, this area has been attracting visitors for generations because of its tranquillity and beauty. Queen Victoria chose this site for her private visit to The Trossachs in 1869 and planted a tree in the grounds of the estate which can be seen today. Built in 1911 as an Edwardian shooting lodge on the hillside overlooking Loch Venachar, Invertrossachs Country House is now a family home, this apartment is located in a private wing of the owner’s house. The McGregor Apartment enjoys super views and has two bedrooms which are both en-suite.

For guests wanting a relaxing hideaway in a peaceful and secluded environment, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this is the perfect location at any time of the year. In this privileged location, guests are able to explore the 24-acre grounds with direct access to the loch shore, where fishing can be found, and enjoy lovely woodland walks. A great area for guests who enjoy nature, the estate is a haven for wildlife, with deer, pine martens, otter and many different wild birds, flora and fauna.

For the more adventurous, this area is famous for the variety of outdoor activities, with cycle trails, hill walking, sailing, canoeing, pony trekking, fishing and golf all surrounded by spectacular scenery. The popular tourist town of Callander is within short driving distance, (6 miles), and has good places to eat, coffee shops, galleries and tourist shops, and also hosts regular events including the highland games. For guests who want to explore further afield, Stirling is only a 40-minute drive, and Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow are an hour away. Gleneagles can be reached within 45 minutes and St. Andrews within 2 hours. Supermarket home deliveries can be scheduled online. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.

The silence is so very different to city living.Much time and effort has gone into the refurbishment of the apartments. “The apartment is well catered and ideally situated. The view from the apartment is outstanding and if the sofas were slightly higher, it would have been an outstanding position. The furniture is comfortable but as it is leather, you do tend to slide off it!! Callander is a delightful town and has all the facilities you would need. Support at the apartment is outstanding and any need is superbly catered for. the land around the apartment is ideal for walking and for dogs.An excellent vacation.”

The friendly, welcoming owners were on hand for anything we needed. From the doorstep we walked in stunning countryside – saw deer, red squirrels, osprey, herons and so much more! Callander is close by , a lovely town with everything we needed – independent shops/ cafes, bars and restaurants. Invertrossachs is a truly magical place with easy access to so many beautiful places for scenic drives , loch cruises, walking, cycling and numerous towns and villages to visit. We will definitely return and highly recommend this property!”
