This delightful holiday cottage is the perfect choice for a relaxing escape within the glorious Devon countryside and close to the breathtaking North Cornish Coast and many stunning dog friendly beaches. One of two delightful holiday cottages at Little Derril, this pretty upside down holiday cottage, converted in 2018, sits adjoining Nuthatch Barn, opposite the owners’ farmhouse. With two pretty bedrooms downstairs and a light and modern open plan kitchen/living space upstairs. It has a cosy wood burner to relax beside on chilly evenings, along with a large TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs, books and games for you to enjoy during your stay. Why not relax with a lazy breakfast while you plan your day in your own private garden, and you are welcome to use the owner’s fields for games or exercise.

The historic market town of Holsworthy is just 2½ miles away, and has a good selection of local shops, a supermarket, town amenities, a golf club and an indoor swimming pool and leisure centre. The village of Pyworthy, with its popular village inn and restaurant, is just ½ mile away. Nearby Bude with its historic castle, vibrant town centre and vast array of good restaurants and bars is perfect for a day out, or why not borrow one of the owners supply of body boards and try out the surf?

Water sports and fishing are available at the nearby Tamar Lakes, as well as coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, horse riding, cycling on the National Cycle Route which passes by the cottage, or simply relaxing. There is something for everyone in this stunning location. Pretty fishing villages and spectacular beaches and coves are dotted all along this coastline from Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven and Bude in Cornwall to Westward Ho!, Clovelly and Instow in Devon, and for a great day out, the famous Eden Project is within easy reach. Beach 8½ miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

“Beautiful little upside down cottage which had been tastefully decorated for Christmas. We arrived to a gift of a box of chocolates, fresh flowers in a vase, milk and other basic essentials and dog treats.We paid a little extra when we were there as we opted for the ingredients to make our own cooked breakfast. Lovely homemade jam and marmalade included with good quality sausage and bacon etc; all presented in a cute basket.Would be a great place to stay in the summer as the owners provide use of body boards for the beach.”

“You will be able to choose any one of the following three options if we or the accommodation provider cancel your booking, or if you cancel your booking because UK government public health measures mean that it is unlawful to travel to or make use of the accommodation you booked:
Full refund – we will refund you the full amount you have paid for your booking.
Transfer to a later date or different accommodation – subject to availability, we will help you move your booking to a later date or even a new location or accommodation with no admin fees, but please be aware that if the cost of your new accommodation is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference.
Choose an e-voucher to rebook your holiday online – you can request an e-voucher for the amount you have previously paid for your booking. You can then use it to book a new holiday online or towards another existing booking, without having to call us. Vouchers issued in 2020 are valid until 31st December 2020 and can be used on holidays departing before 31st December 2021.
Plus, to give our customers the added flexibility they need at this time, for any bookings with arrival dates on or before 31 December 2020, the following applies:
Pay for your 2020 break just 3 weeks before you go – to give you more time to pay for your holiday during these uncertain times, we’ve moved the balance due date for bookings with arrival dates up to 31st December 2020 to just 21 days before your holiday is due to start. If you choose to cancel your holiday before your balance due date, then we will waive your liability for the remainder of the balance and no further amount will be collected from you. If you choose to cancel on or after your balance due date, then you will need to pay the cancellation charges (according to the number of days before the start of your holiday) as set out in the cancellation charges table which you can find in your booking conditions, as well as any applicable booking fees, admin charges or insurance premiums that you owe. *If you have booked a property that is stated to sleep 10 people or more and your booking begins between 1 September and 31 December 2020, your balance due date will remain at 12 weeks prior to the holiday start date as set out in the booking conditions.”
