Outhouse with freezer.. 3-acre natural, landscaped garden with woodland (shared with owner). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are various internal steps throughout the property. There are steps and an unfenced pond in the garden.. The Garden Studio is a delightful, one bedroom apartment on the first floor of the beautiful Victorian mansion, Townhead of Glencairn. The Garden Studio is the perfect getaway from it all, and offers an element of relaxation with views over the stunning 3-acre garden. The apartment was renovated in 2018 and is beautifully presented from the relaxing living room, to the spacious bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, and bathrobes are provided in the shower room. The Garden Studio is the perfect couple’s retreat, and your dogs are very welcome too.

Situated in a rural location, the property is just 1½ miles from the vibrant village of Moniaive, named as ’one of the coolest villages in Britain’ in the Times. It boasts a wide variety of festivals and activities throughout the year and has a general store with a post office, two pubs, an Italian restaurant and a bistro. Why not take a stroll along quiet country lanes to enjoy all that the village offers.

Situated in the heart of Dumfries-shire, you are only a short drive from the many activities this beautiful part of the countryside has to offer. From the many sandy bays and beaches, to forest walks and historic castles, there is so much to do whilst staying at The Garden Studio. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

  • We have to cancel your booking;
  • You cancel your booking because you are prohibited to travel by UK public health measures, such as if we are in lockdown, or you would be in breach of household mixing rules;
  • You, or someone in your party, has COVID**;
  • You or someone in your party has been told to self-isolate by Track and Trace**;
  • You are shielding or vulnerable and can no longer make use of your booking**.

In these circumstances, you will be able to choose between:
Full refund
We will refund you the full amount you have paid for your booking.
A transfer to a later date or a different location or accommodation
Subject to availability, we will help you move your booking to a later date or even a new location or accommodation with no admin fees, but please be aware that if the cost of your new arrangements is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference. Of course, if the cost is less, we will refund the difference.
An e-voucher to rebook your holiday online
You can request an e-voucher for the amount you have previously paid for your booking. You can then use it to book a new holiday online or towards another existing booking, without having to call us. Vouchers issued are valid until 3 September 2021 and can be used on holidays departing before 31st December 2022.
