Tregella Farm Cottage is lovely, cosy, converted barn, set around a central courtyard in the depth of the Cornish countryside, providing the prefect base from which to tour, explore and roam around this stunning part of Cornwall. The property is located near Padstow, a jewel in the crown for Cornwall, with its many attractions such as the pretty, quaint working harbour surrounded by meandering lanes full of local shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. The working harbour provides sea fishing and sightseeing trips along the coast and along the River Camel which flows inland towards the market town of Wadebridge. Many of the cafés and restaurants are owned by the TV chef Rick Stein including a patisserie, deli and cookery school where you can book lessons. The River Camel is a tidal estuary that flows inland from Padstow and has a flat, multi-use walking, cycling and horse riding trail that hugs the shoreline. You can hire bikes all along the trail and enjoy the ride. A favourite with the locals is to hire a bike in Wadebridge and cycle towards the sea and enjoy fish and chips from Rick Stein’s chippy before heading back.

Port Isaac, the setting and the location of TVs Doc Martin, is a great place to visit, and you may even see the stars filming the latest series. Newquay, home to the UK’s Surf Industry, is within minutes and the many excellent beaches that the town is famous for provide all you need from hire to lessons. The town also has a zoo, cinema and trampoline centre (coming in 2019). This area is also abundant with golf courses from Trevose, The Point, St Enedoc and Merlin, all within a short drive. The Eden Project, Tintagel Castle and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all nearby and all easily reached. Horse riding, sailing, walking and health spas are all available locally. Beach 2¾ miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 miles and restaurant ½ mile.

Couples and family groups only. 2 dogs only. There is 1 step down from the patio doors to the garden and then 3 steps to the main garden area. Woodburner - please replace any logs you use. Reviews

“Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, clean well maintained and well equipped.”

“Set down a country lane so pretty quiet, Parking 100mts away from property a bit odd since there is room for 4 cars at the side of the property, not really good for walking dogs in the immediate area as no public foot paths and you are mainly walking on a country lane and main road to padstow. property in need of some minor repair and refurbishment, pans and oven dishes could do with replacing, netflix only if you have your own account. or previous customers forget to log out . all said and done nice property in a good location for exploring the coast line without too much driving.”

“We really enjoyed staying at the cottage, its in a lovely location, although you do need a car. Sadly the weather wasnt good but we still managed to get out and visit the beaches and villages in Cornwall. I imagine if the weather had been better we would have used the garden in the evening. We would definitely recommend staying there.”
