“Excellent !! We have stayed at Lynby lodges 5 times now .It is a lovely base for us to visit my son who lives near by.we have stayed in 4 different lodges on site and all have been perfect .we will be going back just wished the owner would open xmas .sandy the owner makes you feel very welcome 10/10”

Tina, October 2019

“It was an excellent stay, very family friendly and safe. A gate at the end of the decked area would have been a welcome addition for little one to stop them escaping and possibly catches to hold the patio doors open, nothing major. Excellent clean and tidy site, plenty to do locally, would recommend.”

Susan, October 2019

“Lovely and quiet site, well kept and clean lodges”

Terry, September 2019

“Very comfy home from home very clean and quiet. The only thing I would like to say is that a gate either end of the veranda would be a good addition as we had our dog with us and it would stop him wandering off. But ten out of ten.”

Jackie, September 2019

“We enjoyed our stay in Ash lodge, the lodge is really clean and with every amenity thought about! It’s in an ideal location for exploring York but you have to drive to the nearest pub (the odd fellows highly recommend!) Our only problem was that there is no gate on the veranda which for a dog friendly lodge was disappointing as it meant keeping our dog always on the lead something she’s not used to! Otherwise a lovely stay and we would recommend.”

Melanie, August 2019

“We stayed in Ash Lodge, and feel this is a little gem for the price we paid. The site itself is small and quiet, and felt very secure with the gated access (only those staying on the site had the access code for the gate). The lodge itself was very clean and comfortable, and more or less had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the walk in shower, and the sofa was extremely comfy! Because we paid almost half the price compared to other holiday lodges (for the start of the summer holidays in July) we were a little dubious, but very pleasantly surprised. A well kept site and the owners seemed very friendly and helpful, we would recommend staying here without a doubt. The only things we would mention is that the Wi-Fi didn’t really work very well (but that wasn’t a major issue for us), and the lodge could have done with an area to hang coats. Other than that, it was great. The lodges are in a good location for York (which is a very short distance away – the park and ride was about 15 mins away), and about an hour away from Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington. We used the park and ride sites for all of these which worked out well.”

“Lodge was clean and bright. It’s in a great location just outside York. We used the park and ride to get into York. Easy to find and very peaceful park.”

Lorraine, July 2019

“Holiday was good worth every penny would of being nice to have some where to hang coats”

David, June 2019

“Lovely quiet location. Lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Easy access into York on the park and ride with buses every 10 minutes. Enjoyed a nice drive through the Wolds to the coast. All in all a great weekend despite the weather!”

Tony, June 2019

“We had a fantastic time. It rained nearly the whole time we were there, but we made the most of it. Would definitely go again. Very comfortable, warm and clean.”

Lisa, June 2019

“We really enjoyed our holiday here. The accommodation was excellent. It had everything you could possibly want. It was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend to anybody. You won’t be disappointed. The owners were lovely and they even let us bring our budgie. How nice was that. We will definitely be returning”

Hazel, June 2019

“We Had a lovely weekend stay with beautiful weather, cosy, warm comfy. Definitely going to be back.”

Patrick, May 2019

“Spent a lovely weekend here 3 of us and our dog. Just a shame nothing was in walking distance ie shop or pub but would consider staying again”

Stephanie, May 2019

“We stayed Monday to Friday at ash Lodge. It was amazing spacious ,clean, comfortable highly recommended very quiet site loads to do round and about and great walks owner was lovely too .try Gios pizza place next to site awesome lovey guy lovely food”

Mr Antony , May 2019

“We all enjoyed our stay at Ash Lodge, comfortable, warm and surprisingly roomy. There are some nice touches like a variety of DVDs for those wet days, board games for the family, TV and well equipped Kitchen, even nightlights the owners have thought of most things. The weather was not warm enough to enjoy the decking area or alfresco lunches this time. The lodge and quiet small park it is on was an ideal base for trips out to the many costal resorts and attractions. A very good base for York and the park and ride service is superb.”
