Hosting a village shop, and it's main inn is The Paris Hotel named after an American liner which hit the rocks off Lowland Point in 1899. Watersports and wind-surfing is popular because of the shelter of the bay, and there is also safe anchorage for yachts. A main point of interest is the pretty harbour around which are a cluster of cute cottages, some of which are thatched.
